A few good
questions.
Do I need to know anything about mahjong?+
No. Our beginner classes are designed to start at the beginning: identifying tiles, understanding the card, and learning how a turn works. You can also explore our free Mahjong 101 lessons before class.
What kind of mahjong will I learn?+
We focus on American mahjong, the style that uses an annual National Mah Jongg League card. It differs from riichi, other Chinese mahjong variants, and the single-player tile-matching apps.
Can I come by myself?+
Absolutely. You don’t need to bring a group. Coming solo is a lovely way to meet other people who are learning too.
Where are the classes held?+
Our launch location is Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The exact venue, dates, what to bring, and pricing will be announced before registration opens.
Can I learn mahjong online for free?+
Yes. Our six-part Mahjong 101 course, glossary, flashcards, and beginner quiz are free to use without an account. In-person classes help you put those foundations into practice.
Are classes open for booking yet?+
Not yet. Join the interest list to hear when dates are available. Joining is free, does not reserve a seat, and does not require payment.
